How much should it cost to replace power board on a 40 inch Sony Bravia LCD?

Recently had a power surge and could not turn on my TV after. TV repair guy said it fried the power board and would cost $250 to fix (includes parts and labor). Does this sound like a fair price and is it worth it to repair it or just buy a new one. The TV is only a 1.5 years old and never gave me trouble before.

its a fair price but you have to factor in the lifespan of any lcd or led set is 2 years so is it is it worth $250 for 5 months then you are on a death timeframe until the panel starts problems

How can i repair my brand new led tv which is damged by my son and it will not cover the warranty, because the TV felt down from table and now its having colour lines on the corner of display. so please advice

You don't. It will cost you more to repair it than if you just buy a new one.
