best led tv brand to buy image

Looking to buy a tv. What brands are good?
Answer
The most reliable flat screens are ones that can be repaired. They can have a second chance to perform for years beyond the purchase date. Brands that offer LCD flat screens are among the best. All they need is a florescent light to keep the screen lit provided its not dropped. Florescent lights have a service life of 7-10 years. On the other end are plasma screen flat screens. The screen is made of gaseous mixtures. They burn like a roman candle, once they go out they remain dark. The only thing the owner can do is throw that $2000 TV in the can they purchased about 7-8 years ago, of look at it. You can't even put a Kennedy picture on top of it.
Somewhere in the middle are the LED flat screens which should be repairable but they charge a premium new, compared apples to apples with a LCD screen the better buy in the long run is LCD. LED should be cheap to repair, but who knows? The Army?! General Motors?!
The reputable brands are the usual suspects; Sony, Toshiba, LG, Panasonic, Vizio and believe it or not Best Buy's Insignia is a reliable brand, great picture with seemingly one pip squeak 1964 AM radio speaker in the lower center console possibly next to a fabulous picture.
Best.

Can I downgrade from a 32 inch tv to a 24 inch?
Christwarr
My 32 inch LCD Emerson hdtv broke, will it be that much of a downgrade to go to a 24 inch LED Vizio TV. Basically I am looking at either a 24 inch vizio or a 32 inch LED element tv. I have never heard of element and saw mixed reviews, but it is made in America, which I like. Will an Element 32 inch led tv last, or will it break in two years like my Emerson did?
Answer
You're going down 12 inches so you will notice the difference. It has been my experience that you get what you pay for so if you buy an off brand TV be prepared for it to go out in a year. Basically they take advantage of the poor by making them pay more. Save an extra hundred and buy a 32 or 40" name brand HD tv. I bought mine from Walmart and saved about 150 dollars in black friday.
