best led tv editors choice image

Home Theater magazine just came out with their Editors Choice article and they like the high-end Sony XBR as the best television.
I personally like the higher end Samsung with the Smart Hub software because it integrates a lot of streaming services but it runs the streaming video through the internal up-conversion circuit. The Samsung E6500 series is number #2 or #3 on Consumer Reports top television lists.
Last years model D7000/D8000 have been out a while but have outstanding reviews.

There is a lot of myths about plasma from 10 year old technology.
Right now the Sony XBR LED panel was declared Editors Choice in the recent Home Theater magazine.
The second place - Panasonic TC series Plasma. The ST series is also the identical panel but with less features for a lower price.
With a modern game system and properly setting brightness, contrast and color there should be no burn-in problems.
If you do a lot of gaming - you want plasma because LCD panels - even the good ones - have motion blur with fast moving objects.
Now - because of features like 3D and apps to make the TV smart (Netflix, Hulu, playing media files) my current top pick is a Samsung 6500 (current gen) or the D7000/8000 series from last year. This was #3 in Consumers Reports top pick.
The "Smart Hub" system in the Samsung televisions run the streaming video through the internal up-conversion circuits to produce a better picture. Good reviews in Home Theater magazine.
If you dont take my models - make sure you look for at least LED back lights and 120 hz refresh. Note: the edge lit models are thin but the back lit LED panels are thicker but give better picture.
Note: Superbowl is coming up and the week before is usually a good sale week for HDTV's.
Hope this helps.
