Im planning on getting a big screen tv like maybe around 42 or so and I play video games alot. I know theres a few different kinds and some of them arent good for people that play video games because theres a high risk of burn in or something like that.

Answer
LCD or LED tv are safe for gaming. If you want better picture quality, deeper black and less power consumption, LED is your good choice but more expensive. If you want to save money then LCD TV are great to get.

What kind of TV would give the best image quality while playing video games?

I am in the market for a TV that I plan on mainly using for video games and Netflix.

Answer
If you're considering a screen size of 42 inches or larger, a plasma set is generally your best choice for use with a game box, because of the absence of fast-motion blur. The blurring problem is present on virtally every LCD or LCD-LED set to some degree.

If you need to have a smaller screen, look for an LCD or LCD-LED with the fastest possible response time (not over 4 ms. and 2 is better) and a refresh rate of 120 or 240 hz (100/200 in some countries).

I heard that if you want to play video games you should get an lcd tv because gaming can be very harmful to LED TVs. Is this true. And also if not which one is better?

Answer
Untrue. Patently untrue. Plasma, and early plasma at that had some burn-in issues when you had video images in the same spot for long periods of times (As video games tend to do).

LCD TV using either CCFL backlights or LED's backlights are fine for video games. The difference is you have an array of LED's for lighting instead of a CCFL tube. LED's allow for slimmer sets.

How to have a super fun and chill night by yourself while playing MW2?

I have a nice couch. I'm going to have a TV / video game marathon. What snack should I get, what drinks, what clothes, what blankets, what pillows. How can I enjoy myself to the fullest while doing this?

Answer
46'' LED LCD tv, Samsung 1000W surround sound, nice office chair, basketball shorts, tshirt and friends (that you actually know) playing Team Deathmatch where they camp ALL the want.
