Which 3D LED TV can convert 2D games to 3D?

Q. Someone told me that I can convert 2D games to 3D on current LED TVs. Which ones are capable of this?

Answer
Any LED TV that uses shutter glass technology can cause these things. Flickering is the main reason for those side effects however there are some TVs that do not cause this. All TVs with cinema 3D Technology are certified flicker free 3D. I'm not too sure which brands they are but you should be able to search google or yahoo "Cinema 3D TV" for your answer.

LCD, LED, Plasma, or 3D TV. Which is the best choice?

Q. need a new TV help me out

Answer
Honestly its a bad time to buy a TV, as no-one is completely sure if the 3d fad will really take off. Go for either a nice LCD or a mid range LED, with the full knowledge that it might become your "second" TV in about 5 years or so.

Why would someone want to purchase an 3d led tv?

Answer
In a 3d movie you have to have two images of everything. One for the left eye and one for the right. Then they have to be to the right and left of each other at different distances so they look like they are in front of or behind the screen. Or over lap as one image too look like they are at screen level. Now anaglyph 3d that uses glasses in two colors like red and cyan ( a blue green), green and magenta, yellow and blue, must have the two images those same colors. So if your glasses are red and cyan then all images for the right eye must be say red and all the left images cyan. Then the lenses block the opposite color so each eye only gets one image. Since they use color for the 3d effect any color tv and dvd player can do this 3d format.

Most people don't like anaglyph 3d. To do the other two 3d formats 1. polarized like in theaters or 2. field sequential that uses the shutter glasses you have to have a tv that can do them because they don't use color for the 3d effect.

For polarized you have to have half the pixels give out one polarized light wave and the other half give out a second polarized light wave, or have the pixels switch between two light waves some how. Then each lens of the glasses only let one light wave through. That way you can get one image to each eye. A regular tv was never made to do such a thing.

For field sequential you have shutter glasses. One lens will open while the other one closes and they do this back and forth very fast . Then when one lens is open the image for that eye flashes on screen. Giving each eye one image. Again you have to have a tv that can handle switching between to images and you need hardware to tell when the lenses of the glasses need to open and close. Plus you need a dvd player that can read the extra information of the movie in field sequential 3d.

Both polarized and field sequential 3d look the same, they just work different. Almost all tv's are going to use field sequential. Very few will use polarized.

Samsung has recently launched a 3d led tv in India. Two months back, i had bought a samsung led tv (not 3d). I wanted to know if there is a converter or generator kind of thing which i can use to convert 2d signals into 3d signals on my tv?

Answer
Not with the technology currently being deployed. It's called "active shutter." That's how the new 3D programs are originated and that's the circuitry that your TV must have to view them in 3D. You also need the matching active shutter glasses. There are no other options at present.

How can i fix the gaming lag between my xbox and tv?

Matt Irvin

I recently bought a new LG LED HD TV with 3D capability and while playing MW3 i noticed right away that there was a severe delay between pushing any button on the controller and the action being performed on screen. Is there any way to fix this lag?

Answer
Simple...re-set the graphics quality, and/or disable the 3D effect.

Also, if you're using a wireless connection to the server, change to wired. Gaming across a wireless link can suck bigtime.

Good Luck!
