Should I buy this TV?

Kwwefced

Hello, I am after a TV for which I can record using my HD PVR which I need COMPONENT VIDEO (YPbPr) for. I have found one on play.com

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/17764241/22-Inch-LED-TV-DVD-Combi-Freeview-1080p-Samsung-Screen-Super-Slim-Design-USB/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchSource=1&searchfilters=ae32{UMC}+&urlrefer=search

But I am not sure if I should trust it or not because I people have been saying cheap TV's break after a year or so.

If you think I shouldn't buy this TV, then what TV should I buy? I don't really want to go over £150 because I am only 15 years old and got little money then the money I have saved up. I don't care if it has a DVD player or anything, I just want to record with my HD PVR but I need COMPONENT VIDEO (YPbPr)

Answer
Samsung TVs are some of the best made in the world, for that price its well worth it. You may be able to get a bigger screen TV for that price but itll be of lower quality

i have two tvs in the same room this means both remotes work for both and its causing problems help me?

she_who_mu

my sisters got JMB i think its this one http://www.littlewoods.com/jmb-jtc0116001-16-inch-dvd-tv-combi-hd-ready-freeview-slim-led---pink/926699852.prd;jsessionid=7B71D6FE1E6B715888B77B51BBE1E708.fts037:-1?browseToken=%2fb%2f100371%2c21474%2c4294957864
any way both remotes work for both tellys how can i stop this thanx

Answer
you could try fitting a shade over the remote sensor on the tv . something shaped like a quarter length of a toilet roll inner might work . it should restrict the beam so the tv cant "see" the other remote
.A small piece of paper over the sensor should reduce the sensitivity too.
dont forget that the beam from the remote reflects off walls so angling a tv may help.

LCD or LED TV - Pros/Cons?

Jonjass

Im going to buy a new flat screen TV, should I go for a LCD or LED?

What are the pros and cons of the two? (examples - games, film, motion, etc...)

Answer
Led tvs are the best flat screen tvs right now.

I own a samsung led tv and a samsung lcd tv. The led tv picture is better and has darker blacks. I also think it does not blur like some lcd tvs do watching sports.

Led tvs also can be viewed from more angles than a lcd tv. I know for a fact LED tvs use less energy and anyone who says they do not does not have one. My electric bill went down after i bought the same size led tv to replace another flat screen tv i had.

Led tvs also should last longer since led lights are the longest lasting bulbs. Gaming i am not sure about have not tried on on my led tv. Plasma is faster than most lcd tvs but it can burn image into tv.

Hdtv on my led tv is the best i have seen and after over 1 year i have had NO problems with led tv i did have a problem with a lcd once after a year so i will always buy led tvs.

Go to local store look at a samsung led tv and compare it to lcd tvs and plasma tvs. I will always buy samsung led tvs from now on i love the tv i bought. Make sure to bring truck or suv if you buy larger led tv at local store they sometimes do not want you to put the tv in a car they will not warranty it if you do. I bought my led tv online and they shipped to my home. It cost less also online.

Is the Samsung LED TV (UNB8000) really susceptible to burn-in?

OKwithme

I've been following what the instruction book said about not having it in 4:3 mode because it could cause burn-in with the black bars. Is this true?

Answer
If it's in the instruction book, the factory knows that it has a problem. I would follow the instructions.

Plasmas and LCDs can get burn in after 3 hours on the same pause so turn off the tv if you have to pause

Vizio 42 inch LCD tv?

m

I am considering on buying a 42 inch 1080p 120hz vizio television. I want iether the LCD or the razor led lined one. Which one would be better. Is vizio a reputable company? I don't want a company history I just want answers from expierience. If not vizio, what other brand should I buy.

Answer
Vizio is very good in prices.
Vizio quality is " not that bad " but really not that good too.
Vizio also subject to reliability.
Vizio is value for you $. you paid for what you get.
those who ask for budget brand , will never " believe " budget brand is not really good / reliable.
think about . those who paid much more for Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba is not " stupid " . there looking for better quality and more reliable TV for next 5 year.
Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba TV sold worldwide more that 200 countries.
Vizio only for USA / CANADA. is Vizio is so good and so cheap , why cant out from USA ?
i cannot said Vizio is ' bad ". but you get answer in 2/3 year after you own it - try you luck !
remember . PRICES vs Quality / reliable always well balance .
to make cheap TV -- not an problems . but to make cheap and quality / reliable TV need better selected parts / circuit designs / productions skills / quality control . all this cost much more !
Agree and facts , Vizio is supple low prices compare to ' name brand " , if Vizio provide better quality than Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba , smart consumer's will never paid more with out " return ". .
simply requirement and budget . Vizio ? try not -sorry !

what's the difference between these two LED tvs ?

Yo 1 quest

is there a difference between these two cuz there a slight change in their names and do u recommend buying it ?

tv number 1 : http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN40D6000SFXZA
tc number 2 : http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UA40D6000SMXXY/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl=

one has 200 cmr and the other 240cmr :/

Answer
Well one is a US model and one is an Austrailian model. In North America we are on a 60Hz system (hence 240 cmr) and in other countries they use 50Hz (hence the 200 cmr). I never recommend buying anything from the Chinese and Korean companies.

Is the Tv Samsung led 40 inch model: un40eh5000 good for video games?

Steve T

Answer
Samsung UN40EH5000 40-Inch 1080p 120 CMR LED HDTV - Black is labeled as LED; then you look at the picture and see a lot of fat for the usual Samsung LED depth. Make no mistake this is an LED TV. I got this for my bedroom to replace my 23 inch Samsung Syncmaster. I use this TV mostly for 1080 mp4 movies and blurays (I download what I want to watch instead of waiting for it on cable), and my Xbox and PS3.

Samsung 43' Plasma TV?

Sam

I am very interested in this tv from Samsung. I plan to use this tv for gaming on xbox, is this good for this kind of tv? I'm kinda worried the picture will burn out or the pixels. Is this a good tv for gaming/watching movies? Would you recommend plasma/LED/LCD? Whats the life expectancy for this? Thank you!

Answer
Assuming its the entry level 43" samsung TV (UK PS43E450), it isn't a very good TV for samsung. For some reason, samsung don't make very good plasma TVs. Their LCDs are much better.

In this price range, you really would be better off getting a smaller TV which is LCD TV. Maybe a 32 or 37" LCD.

Panasonic and Samsung LCDs are good, you can't really go wrong with either.

If it has to be this size and about the same price, then consider Panasonics X50B plasma instead. The specs are almost the same, but in the shop where I work these are beside each other, and the panasonics colour tone is better as well as it also being sharper.

As for the debate about plasmas and burn in, they aren't too bad. Most of the time it is caused by user error, i.e. leaving the screen on pause or the main menu for hours without using it. Or having the cell light or contrast up too high.

Life expectancy isn't something that can be measured. I know of some TVs which are the early flatscreens and are still running OK. I know of some TVs that are only a couple of years old and have come to a state of uneconomical repair.

Is this lg 55in tv good for the price?

Mr Myagi

Any pros and cons? Can I watch 3d channels without the glasses? Thanks

http://www.walmart.com/ip/LG-55LM4600-55-1080p-120Hz-3D-LED-1.4-ultra-slim-HDTV/21693006#Specifications

Answer
That is the entry level 3D TV from the 2012 line up (the LM in the model number is the 2012 designation, LA is the 2013 lineup).

Overall - that series is considered to be a very decent TV. For that particular model...since it is the entry level...you will have somewhat less features than the higher up in the series (LM6200, LM6700, LM7600, LM8600, LM9600)...but overall it's not much different. This particular one does not have the Smart Features of the LM6200 and up...and it also doesn't have as good of processors as the LM7600 and up, but it should be decent enough for normal use.

As far as 3D and glasses are concerned. These TV's use passive 3D...meaning that (and this is in laymans terms) the picture is filtered in a way that when the glasses are put on...the left eye sees one picture and the right eye sees another...and your brain makes it 3D. Without glasses on...it will just look like an extremely out of focus picture.

As far as cons for this unit...there are 2:

1st (and this applies to a LOT of manufacturers and not just LG).
The 120Hz "Tru Motion Rate" is not the same thing as a 120Hz refresh rate. So - though it sort-of performs like a 120Hz TV...it really is a 60Hz panel. You will find this to be the case in most of the lesser expensive models from all manufacturers.

2nd:
Given that this is a left-over 2012 model...you are already starting out with 1 year old technology. Not saying that it's not good technology...but that there is already a newer model and any 2012 models are simply left-overs that didnt sell. You should expect to see a significant savings from the 2013 models. It's hard to price-compare an overstock model...since the major retailers who would normally carry these have already replaced them with 2013 models...so you can;t always rely on a quick google shopping search...as it's likely to come up with few results.

Overall though...$800 for a 55" 3D TV is not bad...so you certainly aren;t getting hosed at that price...but you just have to realize that it's marked down because it is in fact a 1 - 2 year old tv...even though its new.

which is the best TV, LED or LCD?

babuvakkom

Answer
LED TV ( LCD-LED BACK LIGHT ) is refine and improvement from LCD TV ( LCD-CCFL BACK LIGHT ) . LED TV better in colour display / more brightness / contrast, better viewing angle / more smooth pictures / 40 % less energy - power consumption compare to LCD TV except much more in prices.
LCD TV general good in prices , affordable to every once .
However , Due to products quality - designs and parts use. not all LED TV are really better than LCD TV.
too many " off brand " budget brand LED TV in the market are low quality, don't reached LED TV quality except prices. Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba great in LED and LCD TV.
remember , both LED / LCD TV come with full range of models - entry level / mid end / hi end models to meet consumers budget and requirement. please compare " apple and apple ". an low end LED TV will not provide Hi End LCD TV performance and pictures quality for sure.
LED TV better than LCD TV is based on " technically ' on paper - subject to maker quality , is also mean - budget master the " best ". all depends to what prices you paid for ? - brand / maker - models ( entry level / hi end models ) make great different.

which is better LED or PLASMA tv?

Download M

**compare base on performance and lifespan and durability of the tv.

I already have a LCD tv and want to upgrade. Lately there is more and more LED tv are being released.

Answer
LED TV isn't always an upgrade over LCD because LED TVs are really just LCD TVs with LED backlights.

The razor thin sets actually give up picture quality to get that super thin profile. These edge lit TVs have issues with uniformity and light leakage. You won't notice it in the store, but you'll see it at night when you are at home and the lights are out.

If you go with an LED/LCD TV, you need to buy a TV that uses LEDs in a local dimming configuration not edge lit. Most LED TVs are edge lit, not local dimming. To make matters worse, some TV makers use their own lingo. Vizio for example calls their local dimming sets, TruLED.

I'd take a good plasma set over an edge lit LCD/LED TV any day. The very best local dimming LED/LCD sets and the very best plasma sets are a close call.

how can i take led tv to india from usa?

Q. I bought 55 inches LED TV recently. I would like to take it to India with me(planning to travel to india). Please suggest me the best way to carry it. Is it better to ship or will airlines allow me to carry this tv with me instead of one bag? How much does they charge in airlines and how much does they take if I ship? Answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
A bigger problem is the incompatibility of your set with the TV broadcast system in India. India uses the PAL system. North America uses the ATSC/NTSC system. Your TV won't receive local channels in India.

Also, the voltage mains there are 240v/50 hz. Your TV *might* be optionable for that voltage and line frequency--check your owner's guide. But as equipped for the U.S. market, it's set up for 110v/60 hz.

You might be better off returning your set for a refund if possible, and buying one locally in India. That also saves you the hassle and cost of transport, customs, etc.

You may be better off shipping it instead of having the airlines transport it for you.

What's the best position for TV lighting?

Robert W

I've purchased a 52" LCD TV and I'm remodeling the room in which it will be installed. What's the best position and type for lighting to have on while viewing the TV?

Answer
In a viewing environment with a single direct-view display I recommend dividing the room lighting into a minimum of two independently dimmable lighting zones. One of the dimmable zones should be dedicated to the specific task of illuminating the wall behind your display. This form of lighting is referred to by some as âbias lighting.â

Though wall sconces are popular with many custom home theater owners and designers I recommend avoiding them if theyâre not designed solely for indirect illumination. Ideally all illumination in an optimal viewing environment or home theater should be indirect and diffuse, especially the lighting used to illuminate the wall behind your TV screen. The bias lighting, which is very low level illuminance, is the only lighting that should be on during television viewing - all remaining lighting should be off.

For additional information please read my response to the following Yahoo! Answers question:

Where should light source be placed/located in the living room relative to the TV?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071005181157AAaIVzd

I am a very strong advocate of dimmable RGB LED lighting systems that are capable of full additive color mixing. This new solid-state lighting technology will allow you to easily produce white light with an optimum correlated color temperature (CCT) of approximately 6500 Kelvin while also providing a high color rendering index (CRI) of approximately 94 or higher. Solid-state lighting also offers other important advantages over other forms of lighting, i.e., it generates no UV radiation, produces a negligible amount of heat, and uses a minimum of electrical power. No other lighting solution currently offers this highly advantageous combination.

Another worthwhile lighting technology is light pipes or optical fiber systems. For more information Iâve posted additional resources below.

If neither of these lighting technologies is readily available or of little interest to you then your only other remaining option is to install specialty 6500 K (âD65,â) high CRI, dimmable fluorescent lighting. Keep in mind that the colorimetric requirements for any room lighting that should be off during television viewing will not be as critical as is the case for lighting used to illuminate the wall behind your TV.

0.7 Seconds to Conspiracy?

scgator200

A new book shows that Governor Connally was shot in the back a split second after President Kennedy was killed.

The YOUBE video shows Connally was bent over "by the force of the bullet" a split second after JFK was shot in the head. There is other evidence in the book that shows that this is true.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhqq1UzONIE

The question is: WHY do people have such difficulty in believing that there is proof that a conspiracy killed JFK?

This question is important now because 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the brutal murder of President Kennedy, The media is planning on showing many "documentaries" that are simply wrong. A conspiracy killed JFK.

Answer
WHY do people have such difficulty in believing that there is proof that a conspiracy killed JFK? People tend to believe what is put in front of them because they are conditioned to do this by schools: to memorize facts to pass the test, not to evaluate or think with data. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=george+carlin+our+owners&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDYQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DhYIC0eZYEtI&ei=l-fPUJ61AYrhiwLa0oDgDg&usg=AFQjCNFCLR1vPBgLCnwtao94jqpaJ3qcqQ&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.cGE

The media is a whole other issue. Did you know that most of the media is corporately owned by the same individuals that own big/international banking (including the privately-owned Federal Reserve, which is as Federal as Federal Express,) Big Pharma & military industry. Wow! Can you say conflict of interests?

To put it simply, America is corporately controlled by international banking interests. You will have to watch the Zeitgeist series to understand why this is. This is Woodrow Wilson's "invisible government...set up above the forms of democracy." This is why Einstien came to realize: "I came to America because of the great, great freedom which I heard existed in this country. I made a mistake in selecting America as a land of freedom, a mistake I cannot repair in the balance of my life." JFK implored the corporately controlled media to inform the US citizen, as long as doing so did not compromise the US during wartime. JFK warned of "a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy." http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=monolithic+and+ruthless+conspiracy&source=web&cd=6&cad=rja&ved=0CFIQtwIwBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DRhkjYJAHCjM&ei=FezPUO-ENsThiwK48IGgAg&usg=AFQjCNGgbN5Gra-bVIDhaRkiw4zjo5cAwQ&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.cGE

"The high office of President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the American's freedom and before I leave office I must inform the Citizen of his plight."
~ President John F. Kennedy -Assassinated 10 days later!

There is a reason that you can't trust a number of things the American media tells you and what you see on TV and it all boils down to money, power, control. This is the same reason why Big Pharma/Psychiarty are typically not bad-mouthed by corporate media, even though Big Pharma/Psychiarty are responsible for the large-scale school shootings like columbine. The JFK assassination, all tragedies that led to US military action (including 9/11 & Pearl Harbor) and economic depressions are all orchestrated by the people who really control America: the international banking interests that our Founding Fathers sought to be free of.

The international banking cartel's formula is this: 1) allow/create an event that makes a problem that demands solution and make that problem broadly known to the public (Pearl Harbor, 9/11 the Great Depression) 2) swoop in with a solution that takes advantage of the situation and makes the government borrow money from private banking institutions and put the government on a payment plan (go to war/sell wartime goods, make money off of that/make loans to the government to afford wartime goods, make money off of that; alternatively establish the Federal Reserve so the US government can use it irresponsibly like a credit card and go into debt that it can't recover from.) JFK was taken out because he was causing problems for the business interests of the bankers one way or another, whether it was because he was going to announce what was going on to the American public, he was going to make a move against the Federal Reserve or he was going to end US support in Vietnam, all of which were bad business for the international banking cartel. It honestly didn't matter what grouping of people pulled the triggers that murdered JFK--the international banking cartel was the only group with the money motivation to assassinate JFK and the power/influence, over American government organizations like the FBI, to cover it up.

TV's Plasma? LCD? LED?

megan l

Which is better and why plasma lcd or led tvs?

Answer
LED is a just a form of LCD. What it does is allows the LCD to have better blacks, contrast, and colors. While not up to Plasma standards, its far beyond what normal LCD can do. But you pay a huge price premium for this feature. You can get a better plasma for less. Also, it doesn't solve the inherent motion blur problems of large sized LCDs.

LCD vs Plasma

LCD - is the everyman HDTV. It is cost effective, hence its popularity. It is also physically lighter than Plasma. It tends to draw less power than Plasmas as well (though good Plasmas are now competing with LCDs). It has a matte finish so is useful for rooms that have too much ambient light which can not be controlled. LCD whites are a bit brighter than Plasma whites (but how often do you crank your brightness to 100%). LCDs are considered better for gaming (but I don't think you'd be disappointed with gaming on a modern Plasma). LCDs are sharper in SD (think evening news instead of film); this isn't a good vs bad, its just a personal preference thing. LCDs also have a bit more muted colors; again this isn't good vs bad, its purely personal preference.

LCD technology has problems with fast motion though. That is why you see ones advertised with 120Hz or 240Hz refresh rates (100Hz and 200Hz in Europe). This does not come close to Plasma though. So they aren't as good for fast motion (sports and movies). The 240Hz ones are making good strides, but right now you're paying a HUGE premium for it.

LCDs are also not as strong with their ability to reproduce true blacks. Their blacks tend to be a bit grey and not a true black. LCDs with LED backlighting are coming out now though. These are finally starting to bring LCDs to the Plasma level in terms of blacks. However, like the 240Hz refresh rate, you must pay a large premium for this feature at the current time.

Plasma - they have better blacks (true black), contrast (greater ranges in blacks/whites so you get greys instead of clumps of black and white), and motion playback (their refresh rate is near instantaneous much like old CRTs were). Their overall image quality is better than that of an LCD. While prices on them are constantly dropping, they do demand a slight premium over LCDs of a similar category. The colors in Plasmas tend to have more "pop" to them; this isn't a good vs bad thing, its just personal preference. Also for SD viewing they are a bit "softer" (think more like film less like the evening news). This isn't a good vs bad thing, its personal preference. Most plasma owners get used to it and don't mind it.

Plasma's are glass though so are glossy. They can have reflection issues if you are in a room with lots of light that you can't control (you can't turn off the lights and you don't own any blinds). And good Plasma care would require you condition them. But its fairly simple to do. All you have to do is keep the brightness and contrast (picture) settings cranked way down for the first 100-200 hours, then optimize, and you'll have an amazing TV experience.

Plasma myth (1) - They experience burn-in. This is inaccurate, those days are gone. Just condition the gasses and then use it as normal and you're fine. Also, the better sets have built-in features to prevent this (on top of the technology just generally being better now than say 5 years ago).

Plasma myth (2) - They have short life spans. This is another inaccuracy. Most are now rated in the 60,000-100,000 hours range. At 8 hours a day 365 days a year that would mean a life of 20-30 years. So do you think you'll still want/own the same TV in 15 years, let alone 30?

Plasma myth (3) - They won't work in high altitude because of problems for the gasses. This is again no longer an issue. Current Plasmas can be purchased and used in mile high Denver, and above, so you'll be fine where ever you are (unless you're living in the Himalayas).

Plasma vs LCD - One important note though is TV size. In 42" and above you see and get the benefit of the Plasma advantages. But 40" and smaller and the benefits are diminishing. So if your needs are for a smaller television, LCD may be a wiser choice.

Plasma brands - Pioneer Kuro Elite is the best, followed by Pioneer Kuro. But these can cost as much as a small car. Panasonic Viera is the next best and is much more cost effective. The Vieras can give the Kuros a run for their money (they might not win, but they are no push over in quality). After that I would look to Samsung primarily as a Plasma option. There are also some LG models that have reviewed extremely well (but do your homework).

LCD brands - I would stick with Samsung, Sharp Aquos, and Sony (but only Sony if its on sale, otherwise it tends to be overpriced). Sony stopped manufacturing LCD panels, they now buy/use the same ones used in the Sharp Aquos sets. Samsung is a step above the rest if you go with the series 6 through 9 models. The series 4/5 are strong performers as well, but a bit better

Plasma TV vs. LCD TV vs. LED LCD TV: What are the major differences?

MasterDive

Could someone give me a rundown of the major differences between these three types of HDTV's?

Thanks.

Answer
not getting to complex lcd(liquid crystal display) uses cold cathode florescent tubes containing Mercury. its a common technology used in tv it has good picture contrast is high, and low priced. cons are it can over heat (plasmas as well) if you let it lean it wont work(so be careful as you put it in your car) but taken care of well you would be satisfied. Plasmas use plasma cells and compressed gases it runs a current through hem to make up the picture they have good picture not much better than lcd but they have high Hz but now lcds come with the same( this will make motion less blurry 120HZ is good most tvs come with 6oHz but some have up to 240 but above 120 is not necessary leds are the best they use (light emmitting diods) the are slim the have high hz and brlliant colors and are the most common ones used for 3d and they run cooler than lcds and dont have picture burnin like plasmas

Can i mount a TV on dry wall with Snaptoggle?

ymoney

I recently purchased a new 65in led TV its about 100lbs and i wanted to mount it over my fire place. The problem is there are no wall studs above my fireplace. I think the fireplace is just for decorations, but i was wondering if i can use a Snaptoggle to hang to tv. It says it can support 356lb, but my question is will it tear up the drywall or can i hang it?

if you don't know what snaptoggles are heres a http://www.toggler.com/products/snaptoggle/overview.php
Thank you!

Answer
No, the drywall won't take the weight.

Buy or borrow an electronic stud finder and use it to find the studs: They're probably either 18 or 24" apart, and most likely close to either side of the fireplace opening.
Most builders won't put up drywall without supports at least every 24" OC (on center).
An electronic stud finder ~should~ cost somewhere around $25 (Canadian price, about close to the US one.)
You can buy a bracket to support the tv, one that runs horizontally and is attached to the studs. Or maybe it came with one alread...

Here's a link to a Home Depot How-to about mounting big tvs:
http://tinyurl.com/8yx6wno

Googling for "mounting a flat screen tv on a wall" will lead you to other how-tos, and videos.

There's a good How-to on the Fine Homebuilding web site, too, but my computer's acting up tonight and I can't link to it.

How can i mount a TV without wall studs?

Answer
First off, I suspect that there /are/ studs back there. It's what the wall is attached to.

Second, above a fireplace is pretty high to watch TV. An OK place to look at a painting (which doesn't take long) but you're neck may get sore looking up at the TV after a 1/2 hour or so. Personally I like my TV low.

is the mw2 xbox 360 bundle a good deal?

shiznitsle

i kno that it comes with 2 controllers, 250 gb harddrive, the game, etc.

what i want to kno is tht if i can get warranty on it incase it breaks and can sum1 plss answer when they are gonna stop selling them.

Answer
My Review:
Pre-ordered this bundle back in September, was worried at first about the release date shipping. This is my first release date purchase through Amazon. Received it at 10 am on release date...awesome. Now that we have that out of the way. This bundle is a great deal for first time Xbox users/purchasers. Comes with 2 controllers, this is great for a family purchase....no more children fighting over taking turns until you get to the store to purchase another controller. The 250 GB harddrive is great. I currently own 2 other 360's(one is mine, the other purchased for my wife) both 20gb. With all of the music, movies, and DLC I have had to constantly delete stuff that I have paid for just to make room for new games. This led me to purchase the 250GB harddrive, after transferring everything over I still have TONS of room to install all of my most played games. (For those of you new to 360's...this helps the games run smoother with less load times and it keeps the noise level down on the system). If you are a fan of the COD franchise or even new this 360 is great! The black 360 with the custom MW2 theme looks great. I have always thought about painting my other 360 black to make it look better in my entertainment center...black 58" tv, black surround sound system, black cable box, black modem, and lastly a black PS3. A White xbox stands out quite a bit amongst all of this equipment. I would highly recommend this purchase to people just starting out with the new gaming system or even hardcore 360 players who are just looking to expand the experience. I know this review is getting extensive but im just trying to cover everything....now on to the MW2 game. SIMPLY AMAZING! Looks great, sounds great, plays great. I have been into the COD franchise for quite a while, have been religiously playing COD 4 MW for over 2 years now and can see myself playing this one for another 2 as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME! Thanks for reading the review and happy gaming!

Currently the best Xbox 360 bundle out on the planet

What kind if tv is best for video gaming?

Master Yod

I'm looking to upgrade my TV and its gonna be used for gaming pretty heavily so what's best I'm leaning towards a plasma screen but I've heard about images getting burned into them and cases of them even catching on fire but the picture is phenomenal I like led but its a lot more expensive than plasma and doesn't seem to be quite as nice of quality so what would you reccomend for a gaming television

Answer
- Most problems you have heard about Plasma tv's were issues with Plasma tv's that are older than like 5-10 years and/or made up problems.
- Now a days, plasma screen glare is their biggest problem (even if it has been reduced), plasma power consumption has been reduced and not much higher than LCD, plasma burn in is not much of a problem anymore.

- I recommend Panasonic Plasma OR I recommend Samsung LED (better and/or expensive LED may not have the problems stated below because of additional technologies going into them). - http://reviews.cnet.com/best-tvs-picture-quality/
- Input lag for gamers: HD-TV may have more input lag if there is more processing going and how well the TV can process it. Example 1: Most PS3 or Xbox 360 video games are 720p, it would take processing power to upscale it to 1080p for a 1080p HD-TV which means it would be better to get a 720p HD-TV (unless PS4 or Xbox one video games are 1080p it would be a good idea to get a 1080p HD-TV). Example 2: Interpolation and refresh rates can cause more processing too.ect = Gamer mode can turn off these processes to get less input lag.
- HD-TV viewing distance calculations: http://isthisretina.com/ OR http://www.thx.com/consumer/home-entertainment/home-theater/hdtv-set-up/ OR http://www.sony-asia.com/support/faq/47537 OR http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimum_HDTV_viewing_distance
- I am not going to talk about HD-TV features like 3D or smart HD-TV. Im not going to talk about projectors. Im not going to talk about the new OLED (RGB or W) HD-TV's.

- A plasma HD-TV is sometimes called an emissive display, the panel is actually self-lighting for each pixel. The display consists of two transparent glass panels with a thin layer of pixels sandwiched in between. Each pixel is composed of three gas-filled cells or sub-pixels (one each for red, green and blue). A grid of tiny electrodes applies an electric current to the individual cells, causing the gas (a mix of neon and xenon) in the cells to ionize. This ionized gas (plasma) emits high-frequency UV rays, which stimulate the cells' phosphors, causing them to glow the desired color.
= Better contrast = Plasma's have better black levels, but worse white levels. Plasma's are a emissive display which means better brightness accuracy and better color accuracy.
= Better viewing angles = Plasma is a emissive display, it has little/no picture problems when viewed of axis (not directly in front of screen).
= Better for dark-lit rooms, but worse for bright-lit rooms = Plasma's can have screen glare and less contrast and less brightness and faded colors in bright-lit rooms, but they have little/none of these problems in dark-lit rooms. Better and/or expensive Plasma's may use less reflective glass.
= Better response times = Plasma's florescent phosphor coating in each subpixel stops glowing just a few nanoseconds after the electrode turns off (on and off) which means less lag and less ghosting.ect
= Better refresh rates = Plasma's better response times bundled with it's sub-feild drives or focused-feild drives take each of a it's pixel's sub-pixels and flashes it a number of times to create a image, the way Plasma works has little motion blur with sub-feild drives or little/no motion blur (and better brightness control, color quality, contrast.ect) with focused-feild drives. (Plasma can use interpolation for judder too).
= Worse screen size options, and worse weight (thicker), and worse manufacturer choices = Plasma is a emissive display which makes it hard to make a Plasma screen size smaller than 40 inches for HD-TV and you may not find them larger than 70 inches for HD-TV because the power consumption will sky rocket. Plasma's tend to about 10-20 pounds heavier too and are thicker but that can provide better audio quality tho. Main brand Plasma maker is Panasonic or Samsung or LG.
= Worse power consumption, and worse life span, but better burn in, but worse high altitudes = A plasma can cost on average around $50 a year more. A Plasma can easily last 10 years and much more. Newer Plasma's have burn in technologies that make really hard or not possible to have permanent burn in, but there sill a chance you could get temporary burn in (even tho it's harder to do now). Plasma may not work in really high altitudes and if it does the TV would create a buzzing sound.
= Price = Plasma is more expensive to buy than LCD CCFL, but Plasma is less expensive to buy than LCD LED. Plasma does not cost that much to make.

- An LCD HD-TV is sometimes referred to as a transmissive display, the panel has sections of lighting for a section of pixels. Light isn't created by the liquid crystals themselves; instead, a light source behind the LCD panel shines through the display (CCFL LCD or LED LCD). A diffusion panel behind the LCD redirects and scatters the light evenly to ensure a uniform image. The display consists of two polarizing transparent panels and a liquid crystal solution sandwiched in between. The screen's front layer of glass is etched on the inside surface in a grid pattern to form a template for the layer of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals are rod-shaped molecules that twist when an electric current is applied to them. Each crystal acts like a shutter, either allowing light to pass through or blocking the light. The pattern of transparent and dark crystals forms the image.
= Worse contrast = LCD's have worse black levels, but better white levels. LCD's are a transmissive display which means it is edge-lit or full-array-lit and it also uses local dimming (aka backlight-flashing/scanning) which turns off sections of CCFL or LED which means you can get brightness uniformity problems (brightness leaks into areas and you can see the brightness changing to make up LCD's bad contrast and slow brightness changes.ect) which means less brightness accuracy and less color accuracy .ect (Better and/or expensive LCD use LED lights and more emissive local dimming display and more advance technologies to get a picture as good or better than a Plasma).
= Worse viewing angles = LCD uses a CCFL backlight or a LED backlight (transmissive display), and the LCD pixels act like shutters (and the red, green, blue filters), opening and closing to let light through or block it, this shutter effect causes increasing variations in picture brightness as viewers move further off axis (not directly in front of screen) which means you may notice that the picture looks less bright and vivid and you might see slight changes in color too (IPS > TN).
= Worse for dark-lit rooms, but better for bright-lit rooms = LCD's have the most light coming off from their screen which may strain your eyes in a dark-lit rooms, but they have little/no screen glare and little/no picture problems in bright-lit rooms.
= Worse response times = LCD'S liquid crystals take longer to change from on or off (switch around) which means more lag and more ghosting.ect
= Worse refresh rates = LCD's have more worse response times bundled with it's refresh rates which use backlight-flashing/scanning or fake interpolation frames (for judder too) or just repeat the same real frames which help reduce motion blur, but does not eliminate motion blur.
= Better screen size options, and better weight (thinner), and better manufacturer choices = LCD is a transmissive display which makes it easier to make a LCD screen size very small like around 20 inches and you may find them larger than 70 inches because they use less power consumption. LCD's tend to be about 10-20 pounds lighter too and are thinner (edge-lit displays are even thinner) but that can provide worse audio quality tho. Many brands of manufacturer to choice from.
= Better power consumption, and better life span, and little/no burn in, and little/no altitude problems = A LCD or a LED can cost on average around $50 a year less. A LCD or a LED can easily last 10 years and much more.
= Price = LCD LED is more expensive to buy than Plasma, and LCD LED is even more expensive to buy than CCFL LCD. LED and all the advance technologies going into them make cost more to make, but that's why there is budget LCD versions instead.

Do all LED TVs available in US are compatible with PAL format?

Venkat

I am trying to buy Samsung LED TV to be used in India where PAL is the standard format...Will there be any issues or it doesn't matter any more with these HD TVs?

Answer
Forget any TV purchased in the U.S. In India, you need a TV with a DVB-T digital tuner. PAL has been discontinued in some areas, and will be totally gone by March 2015.

Is there a 2d to 3d generator available around?

VDC

Samsung has recently launched a 3d led tv in India. Two months back, i had bought a samsung led tv (not 3d). I wanted to know if there is a converter or generator kind of thing which i can use to convert 2d signals into 3d signals on my tv?

Answer
Not with the technology currently being deployed. It's called "active shutter." That's how the new 3D programs are originated and that's the circuitry that your TV must have to view them in 3D. You also need the matching active shutter glasses. There are no other options at present.

How do i hook up a playstation 2 to a samsung led tv, which does not have a A/V hook up?

The Samsung led tvs do not have the red/yellow/white hook up but they do have a hdmi, Dvi, Pc/ Dvi, usb, Hdd, and composite cable. Can i buy anything to get my playstation 2 to work with it?

Answer
My Samsung LED tv came with 2 extra cables. You can plug the cables in the tv in what looks like a mic port, and you will then have the red/yellow/white hook up on the other end. The second cable you can plug in is for Component. You should have a picture on the back of the tv where you can see where you should plug in which cable.

my LED tv flickers on some scenes usually when playing pc games and watching some videos on my pc. It seems to happen on scenes which have a lot of contrast or alternating dark and bright parts of the picture! Does anyone know why is this and how to fix it?

Answer
That is a common issue with LEd tvs when going from bright to dark backgrounds, its a pop in.The contrast and actually the Tv should be calibrated to reduce action judders brightness pops etc.Go on AVS forums and see what Im talking about.I had horrendous issues on white backgrounds and halo, flashlighting etc,I have since gotten a plasma but LEDs for the most part have alot of issues with the way they display certain source content and most can be adjusted or calibrated out,and youll have a better picture also.if you cant afford a pro,use a cal disc like disneys wow or avia home theater, even THX discs have calibration tools built in.There a limitations to every technology and all need a bit of help to produce the best pic possible.

Is my new Samsung LCD tv supposed to have white in the corners when the screen goes black?

Mike

Like when I change the Chanel or for what ever reason the screen goes dark there's like white light coming out of the corners is this just the way the lighting is should I be alarmed? Would like an answer from somebody who knows what there talking about

Answer
That is called flashlighting. Usually more common on LED tv. Are you sure your tv is LCD. Anyway, turning down the backlight and brightness settings can help a lot. Do a search with your exact make and model and see what other owners do to fix it and how bad it is. If it bothers you too much return it and try another one. Some are better than others with the light bleed.

Matt

I was looking at a Samsung 55" 3D LED TV and my buddy used to work at Best Buy but doesn't anymore. Wondered how much an employee could get this for, it was $2500.00 on the sales floor.

If I could find somebody that worked there and if their discount were high enough I would give them cash for the TV and extra just for them to get one for me...

Thanks,

M.

Answer
The amount of the discount varies, but the best deals are usually had on "open item" merchandise. Getting an employee to jeapordize their job just so that you might enjoy a discount is probably NOT going to happen, so I'd suggest you apply for a seasonal position at your nearest store. The hours are flexable, and as an occasional/seasonal employee, your discount would begin as soon as you do.

How easy is it to get a LED TV online on Black Friday?

Anthony

I always hear about these great deals on LED and plasma TV's on Black Friday. 47" TV's go for $300, etc. I was never one of the people to go out at midnight on Black Friday. However, I've been hearing online is starting to carry the same sales that are in the store, except online. I've never had much luck on Cyber Monday.

Does anyone have any luck buying TV's or electronics online on Black Friday? Are there generally a lot in stock online or will you need to be the first one logged on at midnight?

I'm looking for a big screen LED TV and I'm debating waiting until Black Friday to buy it, however, if I hear that it's difficult to obtain one, I'll just buy one in the next few weeks.

Thanks guys!

Answer
One problem is that you may find a lot of lower end flat screens for sale at very low prices and if you wish to use a comp to link to the TV or to play or use video consoles on the TV it might not refresh or have the correct fast action movement responses. If you're looking for just something to watch TV then many of the low end make/models will be fine.

For example they sell a low end make called Sigmac stores have sold thousands of the 42 INCH TV's and most customers are happy with the product bec they mostly wanted a big screen flat screen TV and they claim it suited their needs. The same model won't play fast action movements very well unless you know how to adjust all the comp video card, TV or game console settings up properly according to the different file formats or games etc.

What I've found is here in Canada Black Fri sales seem to be the best prices according to Xmas and Boxing Day sales etc.I've seen Walmarts for example offer a 32 inch RCA for 168-180 bucks but you have to be at the store way before they open and then you'll be asked what items you may wish to buy and then be given a slip that is for say the TV you want. This means they might only have 10-20 of these models in stock and as little as one of another TV that is on sale for some great price of 500 bucks etc.Now online the main warehouse may have a lot more in stock but of course first customers to place their orders will get the best results.I've also seen free shipping offered especially if you live in the United States and are ordering from a USA site.

Personally what I'd recommend is that you make up a list of all you want to use the new TV for and then figure out if the specs of the TV's you might wish to buy. List and compare and the different makes/models features, ports and over all specs. For example you may wish to have a fast refresh rate and some models will only be 60hz and others will offer 60-120-160hzs settings or different ranges of it's Hz capabilities. The resolution capabilities are also vital so you need to keep that in mind and some might offer resolutions of 1920 x 1080p.Even the Contrast Ratio can be misleading bec it may indicate 2,000,000:1 ratio but the true quality of the TV might not match up.Next you'd have to consider the Response Time and it should be that the lower the number indicated the better Response Time.A feature that is related to this is Game mode etc of a TV.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I'd suggest to look on different sites and in the stores to see what makes/models are sold that are within 20-40% over your current budget and then compare the specs and customer reviews to decide which TV's you may be truly desiring to buy.Samsung, LG,Panasonic Toshiba are all good makes but you have to also consider that every make has different models and some models are just too expensive or they are great for the suited purpose and some work great that are in fact in the lowest model price ranges.Note if you can wait then I bet you'll save some cash bec prices to drop on many Makes/models/items during the up-coming Black Fri sales etc.

What duration is used to calculate the power consumption of an appliance?

Akiko Hime

Today i was canvassed for an LED TV. I noticed that they put wattage values for the various TVs on display. For example the 75" Samsung TV had a power consumption of 270 KWH a year. Does that REALLY mean that if i let the TV run NON-STOP for 365 days, consume only 270 KWH? Is that the same NON-STOP usage implication for washing machines or any other appliance?

Answer
The math does not add up. 365 days == 8760 hours ==> 270 KWH/year ==~ 30.8 W hours, which sounds too low, for a 75" TV. The manufacturer has likely taken the typical (average) number of hours one is likely to watch TV and has multiplied KWH rating by that number. KWH is a better rating; that is until they standardize that KWH/year means what exactly. But even in KWH, one would have to do some averaging - the power consumption of a TV would, to a degree, depend on the kind of things you are watching, sound levels etc.

I find it rather strange that Samsung fails to mention the power rating on the full specs for the TV on their web site - http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN75ES9000FXZA-specs. I then tried Sony and they do list the max power consumption - 170 W for a 60" TV, which is 1489 KW per year, if you leave the TV turned ON for full year AND the TV is consuming full power all the time. I doubt that the Samsung TV would that much more efficient, that for a bigger TV it would have 270 KWH a year. http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666479232#specifications.

Also is there a real difference between 60 HZ and 120 HZ on a 39, 40, or 42 inch LED TV. Also in regards to LED what is the better brand Samsung, Insignia, Sharp, or Westinghouse?

Answer
"...What is the better type of TV for sports and video games? LED, LCD, or Plasma?..." Plasma. The others, even the best of them, will have some level of fast-motion blur. The economy sets will be especially bad.

"...is there a real difference between 60 HZ and 120 HZ on a 39, 40, or 42 inch LED TV..." Yes, but it will vary as to degree on different models. Generally, the 120 Hz refresh rate will mitigate the fast-motion blur to some extent, but it will still be there at least a little. A lot on cheapo sets. (The size of the screen is irrelevant.)

"...what is the better brand Samsung, Insignia, Sharp, or Westinghouse?..." Generally speaking, Samsung is superior to the others. Sharp has many fine models. Insignia is Best Buy's house brand--a few decent models, but mostly not to be recommended. Avoid Westinghouse--a very low end budget brand.

in a raid by the Hong Kong police? The rest caught are probably Mainland immigrants or affiliates living in HK to facilitate CCP mafia activities there.

by AFP News â 32 minutes ago,

Hong Kong police said Friday they had arrested more than 1,800 people during anti-triad raids for crimes including illegal gambling and drug offences.

Almost HK$40 million ($5.16 million) in drugs and illicit goods was seized during the month-long operation, police said.

Officers raided some 2,600 locations including discos, massage establishments and night clubs in an attempt to curb the illegal activities of triad societies.

Hong Kong police will combat "triad personalities and their activities" by "confiscating proceeds of crime through intelligence-led and undercover operations and investigations", chief superintendent of the organised crime and triad bureau Kwok Ho-fai said in a statement.

The raids were part of an operation by Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong police.

A total of 1,813 people -- 987 men and 826 women -- aged 12 to 95 years-old were arrested.

Almost 500 of the arrested were from mainland China.

Police also seized HK$34 million worth of drugs including cocaine, ketamine and ice during the operation held between July 23 and August 22.

Hong Kong police arrested nearly 1,200 people in a month-long crackdown on triad activities last August.
@ Thanks for the great answer Mr Liu!

One thing CCP idiots never learn is once you're caught lying, cheating and dishonest, your image and reputation go down the drain forever, no one will trust you anymore. It takes 1 minute to tear down your reputation but takes years to have it built up.

Nowadays CCP-China = Worldwide image of dishonesty, fakes, counterfeits, lies, cheats, unethical, immoral, greedy, copy-cats, corrupted, no rules, no enforceable laws, no systems................stupid!
@ Mr Liu, CCP guys are fully aware of the bad manners and behaviors of many Mainlanders but CCP does not want to be strict on them, why? Because CCP spending enormous unnecessary cruel efforts in forcing Chinese People to SHUT UP or LOCK UP, coupled with CCP's increasing rampant corruptions and abusive of power already making this mafia regime hated by Chinese People, since bad manners do not threaten CCP rule, so CCP deliberately give it a blind eye.
It seems obvious that Chinese People like spitting with a very loud quirking noise as a means to protest against CCP as the People are not given free speech/expression/press/assembly, the only freedom they could exercise is spitting out loudly.

!!
CCP is only 64 years young while HK government has proven successful track record of transforming from a fishing village into an international financial and trading hub for more than 170 years. CCP is still busy learning and copying from Hong Kong all the proper government and social procedures and systems in running a place.

Believably majority Hongkongers aren't against merging with the Mainland, the problem though why HK has to be "under CCP" when CCP is a bunch of ignorant corrupted "young" idiots?

100+ years before CCP China industrialized and opened herself up to the world, Hong Kong already developed into the most important trading hub of Asia. Without CCP's stupid interferences, Hong Kong should be similar to the current Singapore's political situation, if not better and be able to get more business ties with Europe instead of being taken advantages of by the ruthless and corrupted CCP/Mainlanders.

It's estimated that about 70% of the a
of the annual 45+ million Mainland visitors to HK are crooks engaging in all sorts of illegal activities, pick-pockets, whores, smuggling, stealing, scamming and/or illegally working there.

CCP/Beijingers are mostly Mongolians, Manchu invaders descends and not Han Chinese with cultures and traditions totally different from HK's.

CCP Lap Dog is telling the world that "Didn't HK people once as terrible as Mainlanders".

64 years gone by as a "super big" country (HK's only a small colonial city), what have CCP done to train and educate her people to be responsible, well-behaved world citizens? Nothing.

Bear in mind that after WWII ended the population of HK was under 500,000. By 1970s-80s HK's population sharply increased to 3-4 million with 99% of them refugees and immigrants originated from the horrible CCP mafia state fleeing to the free British colony, bringing along their horrible and bad behaviors ie spitting, littering, jumping queue, scamming
and corruptions.

Under the then superb governing and management of the Brits, HK Government was quick enough to legislate and enforce tough laws to correct the Mainland immigrants' bad behaviors.

Now comes another huge herd of horrible Mainlanders deliberately dumped onto HK by CCP after the merge just to "make HK look, feel and behave like China", SAD.

Is CCP so dumb or simply savage who doesn't give a damn to CCP mafia acts? How will Shanghainese feel if Shanghai all of a sudden ruled by Somalia sending millions of Somalis immigrants there eroding Shanghainese cultures and traditions?

CCP officials are a whole bunch of greedy, ruthless mafia gangsters who do things totally out of their private pockets needs with absolutely no respect of people not their gang.

Similar to Tibetans and Xinjiangers, Hongkongers are increasingly fed up with the loads of ruthless, bad-mannered, greedy, corrupted and poor Mainlanders deliberately dumped onto HK by CCP, disrupting p
peace and cultures there.

Since HK merging with China in 1997, CCP has already dumped 900,000 ruthless and poor Mainland immigrants to HK, many required to pay bribes to CCP officials to immigrate to HK. These people are lazy, uneducated, bad mannerism, don't follow cultures and traditions of HK and expect HK taxpayers to hand them all the free housing and benefits without making any contributions. Whenever there're conflicts of interests between HK and CCP, these idiotic Mainlanders would come out to support the corrupted regime.

The displease of Hongkongers towards CCP/Mainlanders purposely eroding HK's cultures and traditions is expressed as follows by bloggers, "HK people are furious at China bringing over their cultures of faking, corruptions, bribery, inconsideration, cheating, pollutions and toxic food - melting HK into CCP culture."

Though some Mainlanders are very respectful and nice people as Mr Liu Maoxing, even half of the annual 45+ million CCP visitors to HK are crooks more than enough to turn the small city completely upside down.

Because of millions Mainlanders nowadays still eager to become Hongkongers that USA is reluctant to give Hong Kong visa-free status to prevent corrupted Mainlanders using HK as a springboard - a typical example of bad luck to be lumped together with the corrupted CCP mafia regime.

Despite HK being the richest city in Asia, it's the only "Four Little Dragons" not given US' visa-free.

Answer
More than you can count actually, but I would estimate around 90% of them. I often see the news about the criminals from the Mainland are detained or deported by the Hongkong police. Once, I ever saw the news about one Mainland guy who was caught smuggling milk in Hongkong. And I also ever experienced one pickpocket from the neighboring Guangzhou who tried to stole my wallet, when I was at Tsim Sha Tsui. But then, I reported that pickpocket to the Hongkong police. Many other people also experienced their bad experiences with the Mainland criminals.

Not just in Hongkong, I also remembered once there was a Mainland guy who was being caught by the Indonesian police in Jakarta. He was caught for selling counterfeit goods in Jakarta and setting up illegal business there. Many other stories about can be heard elsewhere, in other places.

This is the consequence for Mainland people for being taught to be criminals by the CCP. The CCP never do anything to handle criminals and teach the people about responsibility. And this is also the sign of what is the horrible consequence if there is no law and order in China.

Here are the moral values that Mainland people and everyone should always remember:

1. Don't tell lies to the people. If you tell lies, it means that you are trying to fool everyone and BETRAY your God.

2. Don't try to cheat and fool other people for your self benefits. If you cheat and fool other people, other people and you might be suffering.

3. Don't rob and steal anything from other people. If you steal and rob anything from other people it means that you are showing your dishonesty and deceits.

There should be a warning announcement on public transportation in Mainland China about simple etiquettes and standard acceptable behaviors when people going out. Meaning that when Mainland people are in the public transportations should be given a warning and announcements about morality and etiquettes.

Public places (such as bars, restaurants, stores, shopping malls, etc.) could give a simple lesson about etiquettes before serving the customers. Meaning the staffs or the managers who are working in the public places should teach the customers about etiquettes and morality.

Public medias such as TV, Internet, Radio, etc. could also be the alternative to teach people about morality and etiquettes. Meaning that there should be a TV shows, Internet websites, and Radio brocasts that can teach people about morality and etiquette.

Magazines, Newspapers, Comics, etc. can also teach people about morality and etiquette. Meaning that Magazines, Newspapers, Comics, etc. should publish more everything about morality and behavior. There should be Magazine articles, Newspaper articles, Comic book stories, etc. that can teach the people about morality and etiquette.

If there are strict laws and regulations like in Hongkong or Singapore to correct their behaviors, that might be good too. Because strict laws and regulations can teach us about law and order.

Schools should also teach more the students since very young age about Character building and etiquette lesson. Meaning that there should be a Character building lesson and etiquette lesson, to teach the students since young age about morality and manners.

But re-education through setting ourselves a exemplary characters in the daily life is also equally important. Meaning that we should do all our good actions in our daily life, so other people can also follow our good actions and good behaviors. Our good behaviors and good actions can also teach the people the values of morality and manners.

@Freely: Agree with you have said, I also have the same view with you. We must take responsibility to correct their behaviors in order to open up their eyes from the CCP's long time deception.

In Taiwan, where can I find Variety Electronic Parts and Stores?

cnferntree

I am NOT interested in big ticket or bulky consumer goods like TV, DVD Recorder, high-end HiFi etc, but I'm looking something unsual and uncommon like Two-Way Radio, transmitter, electronic thermometer, battery chargers, LED torches, computer parts, and electronic components etc. Some second hand goods would be nice too.

If you know a district called Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong, you know exactly that I mean!

Thanks in advance!

Answer
In Taichung on Kung-Yi (gong-yi) road there is a place called NOVA. That has just about every gidget, gizmo ect possible and most of the stores carry build your own PC parts and electronicy type stuff.
If you cant find it there ask somebody where who is working there. (If you speak chinese... ) (Otherwise I recommend bringing a friend who does so you get exactly what you want- or else have pictures and specs in plan mathmatical language for what you need)
