Any suggestsions for 55 name brand LED TV and Blu-ray bundle?

Hi. I found this bundle on Buy.com :

Samsung UN55C7000 55" Widescreen 1080p LED 3D-Ready 240Hz HDTV, Samsung BD-C5900 1080p 3D Blu-ray Disc Player and Samsung SSG-P2100X/ZA 3D Starter Kit Samsung UN55C7000 55" $1899

But:
A) The price is out of my budget. My budget is around $1200-$1500
B) I'm not at all interested in 3D or 3D glasses.

I'm going to use this TV for watching blu-ray movies, netflix and comcast/dishnetwork. I prefer name brands such as Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony, not Vizio, Sceptre, Proscan

Any recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Q. I just switched from a 32" CRT to this 56" LED:

I noticed a huge difference in gaming. Its harder to play my games on this new tv! I read up about input lag or refresh late and all this jargon, but nothing helps me.

What can I do to mimic my CRT performance so I can actually play these games? (im a huge xbox gamer, Call of duty, Halo, and need the good response time) I heard about a Game Mode? But I dont think this model has it. Are there any settings I should set or change?

Ok which do you have? You say Vizio M220NV but your link goes to a Samsung! If it is a Samsung then yes you have Game mode. See page 23 of your owner's manual.

The Vizio in your question is a 22 inch so I doubt that is what you want info on.

need help buying monitor?

I am so tired of doing research on monitors trying to find one to buy. I need at least a 23" one. Tv has HDMI port but computer does not ( tho it is only a year old) if I got an adaptor for computer (vga to HDMI) would I need to buy something else? and is there a way I can hook computer and tv up so I dont have to unplug one and plug the other up to switch back and forth?

You can get a Computer Monitor that has HDMI in, I just got myself a 24" Samsung 1080p LED monitor. The brightness / contrast is phenomenal and setup next to my old 22" LCD the difference is night and day.

To hook your TV up to the monitor you need either a TV tuner if you use in the wall cable or you can hook a Digital Cable box / Satellite tuner up to the monitor via HDMI. This would eliminate the need for a second TV (monitor) and you can run everything on your computer. The monitor has a 3.5" jack for sound output so you can hook your computer speakers directly into the monitor or use headphones.

The model of monitor that I got is a Samsung BX2431 (http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/office/monitors/led/LS24X3HKFH/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail). I have my computer w/ TV tuner set as the first input and my XBOX 360 as the second.

I want to do a room design in sort of a city scape. But I don't know where to start. All I have right now is a massive grey room. Does anyone have ideas on how to do a city-esque room? Or can you provide links? I've been searching around, and I haven't found anything good, except for a red phone booth idea for the door.
