Would you consider the Samsung UN55D6900 to be a TV worthy of spending $ on calibration?

I just bought this tv from Best Buy as a floor model and heavily discounted for $670. I got the 55 inch one. I feel great about the purchase, especially at that price, since I looked elsewhere, and even now, these sets are selling for upwards of $1300-1500.

Anyways, my main question is this...

Is this set calibration worthy? I want to get it calibrated but have read that on some basic sets, it's not even worth it since there is very limited options to tweak.
Is this one of those types of sets or is it considered a mid-high end LED tv?

Answer
Check the owner's manual for the procedure to reset the TV to its factory defaults, then do it. You shouldn't need to pay for anything, and the default settings should give you a great picture from any source. If you want, you can tweek any of the optional adjustments a little to see what you get. If you make a mess of it, you can always reset the defaults and start over.

What is the best sound system to buy?

I want to buy a sound system for my new Samsung 55 inch LED TV. I'm not sure what's a good sound system to buy for my TV.

Answer
Buy a receiver from a name like Marantz, Harman/Kardon, Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, or Pioneer.
Then get a pair of speakers from Bowers & Wilkins, Paradigm, Infinity, Mirage, Polk, JBL, JL Audio, Energy, Wharfedale, Boston Acoustics, KEF, Velodyne... There's a lot and I can't yet name them all off the top of my head.
here is a helpful guide:

And a good read if you're considering either of Bose's systems: http://intellexual.net/bose.html
