Best 19-22 inch LED-LCD tv?

Adam

I am getting a new tv for my room tomorrow...
I was wondering should I get a 22 inch samsung, 19 inch dynex, a phillips, or a sanyo?
all 720p and 70hertz...
I dont know much about tvs, which is best??
is it smart to get a refurbished one?

10 pts!!!!! thanks!!!!

Answer
26 " lg tv. 1080i on air, cmpt etc and 1080p on hdmi. 60hertz. i forgot the model and price but best quality. i would not recommend a refurbished on because if 1 week it works and another doesnt and plus its cheaply repaired. i know cause i learned it the hard way. ALL WAYS i mean ALL WAYS get a new tv not refurbished

Gaming on a 19" inch led tv?

Sebastian

Would i be able to do this and still get good resolution. ATM I'm using a 15,6 inch laptop screen.

Answer
The resolution from any source on a screen that small will be excellent. A bigger concern is the set's specs that are important for gaming: a refresh rate of 120 hz or more (100 in Europe) and a response time something less than 5 or 6 ms., and 2 ms. is better.

These are upgrades to any basic LED/LCD set, but they are important in gaming or in watching fast-action sports.

is it possible to take a 19 inch tv as a carry on? Because I dont want to put it in the checked luggage in fear of it getting damaged. And do I have to pay duty taxes when I arrive in Mexico?

Answer
No, it will not fit in the overhead compartment. The TV will most likely be in a TV box, and that will take up too much space in the bin. The crew will make you check the item at the counter or at the gate. I would recommend shipping it via FedEx or UPS and insure it. If you transport it and it gets damaged, the airline will not take responsibility for it.

What is the use of wall anchor in led tv wall mount kit?

Raghu

I got my led tv wall mounting kit.
I have two small plastic thing which is not properly fit into screw. I don't know what to do with it. Its called Wall anchor.. What is it, how should I use it?
What if I ignore it?. Please help

Answer
In general, an "anchor" for mounting something on a wall is a sleeve that's forced into wallboard (sheetrock) that will accept the threads of a self-tapping screw. You normally cannot put a screw directly into sheetrock.

However, unless you have a really tiny TV (maybe 19 inches), you do ***NOT*** want to attach your wall mount frame to sheetrock! It should only be mounted onto the studs behind the wallboard. If you don't know what that means and how to successfully do it, then you need to get help installing the mount from an experienced handyman, electrician, or TV installer. Hanging a large TV on wallboard anchors is a near-guarantee that the the TV is going to come crashing down some day--soon.

What is causing the interference on the samsung tv?

I have two 19 inch led tvs-lg and samsung.

samsung is showing high interference (bit error rate)-with strong signal strength.

The lg is pefect.

Even when i used a splitter the samsung showed interference while the lg still had a perfect signal.

Why is this?

Answer
Do you have any carbon florescent light bulbs plugged into the same outlet as the TV? That can cause interference in some sets. Here is a list of tools you can use to combat interference.

F-Type connectors: F-Type connectors provide the most secure connection between cables and wall sockets than your older type RF connector. They also provide better shielding against interference, and therefore you will find F-type sockets on Foxtel boxes, Modems, and in almost all brand new apartment complexes

RG-6 Antenna Cable: RG-6 antenna cable is a visibly thicker type of antenna/coax cable than the older common thin aerial cables, which are known as RG59. RG-6 cables have a much thicker aluminium braid wrapping inside which helps block out nearby interference.

Digital TV Amplifier: This product is ideal for situations where you want to operate two TVs from one antenna. If you use a cheaper splitter, this situation often results with the two TVs receiving a lower quality signal, but if you use an amplified splitter (like Kingray for example) it boosts the signal so you don't lose any quality.

Passive Splitters: Passive splitters can come in a many forms, but generally they are all designed to let you split the signal from one aerial to a couple or more Television sets. Doing this however, will weaken the signal strength, so it's best avoided. If you are forced to use a splitter, you might need a powered splitter as we spoke about above.

Isolator: These commonly come in the form of surge power boards, and they protect your electrical appliances from atmospheric disturbances, spikes, surges and line noise. Even the small power fluctuations that occur every day can be harmful to the long-term life of electronics, so investing in a surge protector can help keep you appliances operating smoothly for longer.
