TV EXPERTS...PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP! :Samsung or Sony TVs?

Alex

hello guys
I'm buy a new tv tomorrow or the day after and i got my eyes set on these two:
samsung "UN55ES8000F" (cuz its interactive & voice features and all of its other features just blew my mind away)
& sony...not sure witch model to get yet, but basically one with 55 inch, 3D, LED and a good picture quality...nothing fancy :p

what i care MOSTLY about is the picture quality...if it turned out that sony tvs has the better picture quality...then i might get the idea of getting the samsung smart tv with all of its awesome features and all thrown out of the window...THATS how much i care about the picture quality

what i want to know is:
witch one is better at TVs in general, samsong or sony?
witch one of them is better at the picture qualitys?
witch one of them is better at 3D, 3D technique and 3D viewing?
and if there is anything else i should know about?
any other recommendations are welcomed =)

Thank you~

P.S.: DONT TELL ME SAMSUNG IS BETTER THAN SONY JUST CUZ SONY USED TO BUY THERE PANELS FROM SAMSUNG THE LAST FEW YEARS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT OR WHAT EVER...CUZ IT TURNED OUT THAT ITS NOT TRUE AND ITS ALL A BUNCH OF RUMORS.
I'll be using it mostly for video gaming (PS3) and watching HD movies (3D if i could)

Answer
Buddy I own a TV repair workshop.

Many people bring samsung TVs to get it repaired for fixing the problems like flicking of screen, sound increases decreases its self and colors gone bad.

Trust me Sony has better picture, color and display quality. Sound is more realistic too. Lat but not least Sony manufactured stuffs lasts longer. It is the fact that Japanese companies are more mature.

don't think too much about appearance because frame appearance is less important than the display appearance.

Japanese misbehaving abroad??

I'm interested in the opinions of Japanese people, Chinese people, and people who are well-acquainted w J people (spouses & long-term residents).
In the Chinese media there have been several stories (over the past few years) of Japanese visitors misbehaving themselves. I just don't know how to take these stories. . .I cannot accept them at face value. What do you think? Educate me please.
Story #1: Japanese comedian goes to temple in Hainan and pulls his pants down (bc the kanji on the Chinese sign means something like that, although the Chinese meaning is completely different. . .nevertheless, I don't think anyone would really be that stupid? Or was he just clowning around w his friends?)
Story #2: at a university variety show/concert J (male) exchange students get onstage wearing bras and make fun of Chinese female performers. True?
Story #3: J businessmen book hotel for convention. Get rowdy and bring in HUNDREDS (!?!) of hookers, also drape J flag in lobby--shinjirarenaiyo!
Doug, I am obviously not trying to bash Japan. I lived there for several years and now live in China. I find the stories either partially or completely incredible and am trying to find out if they are true to any extent at all (since I really cannot believe them).

Answer
1.It is true, it happened last year.

Ken(47) from the comedian duo Tomies (pronounced tomiizu), during the shooting of their show in Hainan (Kainan in Japanese), showed his ...which caused quite a big problem there. Asahi TV, however, immediately had the comedians and their staff back in Japan, and the abusers were severely punished and criticized all over the press.

About the other news, well, one happened in 2003, like 4 years ago, and I think it was used more for political purpose. That was just a kid trying to be funny:

Of course, people should be more careful during an intercultural communication, but I really don't think the kid had any idea what he was doing.
And the last case- it is really old one, famous though, and this problem led to more strict control and police cooperation from the both sides.

It is true that both nations don't like each other, you can add Korea too. There are Japanese misbehaving in China, and there are Chinese who not only misbehave, but commit major crimes in Japan.

Respect to the host culture ind its laws is the only answer I think.
