This one is a must have, it is ranked as the best HDTV (that's not 3d) of 2010 and
blows away any LED. It is a 100 dollars more and 50 inch, but it's a must have model.

There is a 58 inch panasonic plasma S2 but it's 1400 bucks and the picture
is nothing compared to the 50 inch model I posted on top. Even though it's
smaller by 5 inches, 50 inch is huge and you have the best HD set of 2010 for
1100.

Why are Mitsubishi & LG LCD-LED TV's missing from every discussion?

In most expert reviews these are rated highly but there are very few references or reviews anywhere from regular folks or technicians (working folks) so I am wondering what it is I don't know. Have owned a 46" Mitsubishi for 12 years and is on virtually 24/7. The other is a 32" LG lcd and it has been great. Anyone have a thought?

Part of the reason seems to be that Mitsubishi's quality is good, but it's not quite up to the competition. In the latest Consumer Reports ratings, Mitsubishis rank as #14 and #15, out of 16, among 52 - 55 inch LCD sets. They are #12 of 12 at 46 inches. They don't show up at all in other categories.
Again, that doesn't mean the Mitsus, like yours, are not fine sets. But there is so much else out there, with amazing features and often better prices that the Mitsus simply cannot rise to the top of the list, or anywhere near it.
