who has the best rated LED television over 50 inches?

Answer
The pricey SONY BRAVIA® XBR-HX929 Series Internet TVs are currently one of the very best full-array, local dimming, 3D capable, LED backlit LCD TVs available when it comes to picture quality. Also worth considerationâand in a slightly higher price rangeâis the Elite by Sharp PRO-X5FD Series LED Backlit LCD TVs. (Please keep in mind that if you expect more than a couple of people will be viewing your TV at a time, these LCD TVs, like many [LED backlit] LCD TVs, have a limited viewing angle.)

I would not invest nor do I recommend investing is such pricey LCD TVs at this time when CNT-FED (Carbon Nanotube Field Emission Display) TVs and monitors are reportedly close to being released; itâs claimed that they will be released some time next year. However if you must purchase a new TV now and youâre willing to wait for the new display technology to mature (which is never a bad idea,) then it may be worth spending a little extra for maximum picture quality.

Can a 32 in LED TV have 1080p resolution?(120hz)?

Mike

I keep hearing that 32 in led TVs can't have a resolution of 1080p and can only have 720p. I am trying to buy a high resolution 32 in tv but I want a higher resolution than just 720p, and it has to be LED 1080p. What do you suggest? Does 1080p really make a difference? I am mostly using the TV for gaming so i want the best resolution possible. Also what is a good TV brand? I was thinking of going for vizio, Samsung, or LG.

Answer
Yes but you really need to pay attention to the details when you 'hear' things. Details matter.

It's not that they do not make televisions that size in native 1080 - it is that you cannot tell the difference between two televisions if one is 720 and the other is 1080 at that size.

If you want a TV for gaming - look into a small plasma.

Your "LED" television is really a "LCD" television that uses thousands of LED lights behind things and does 'regional dimming' to improve black levels.

A Plasma from Samsung or Pioneer does not have the problem with black levels that LCD's have and does not have problems with motion-blur. While 120 hz refresh reduces the problem - it is still present. And video games are full of fast moving objects.

Stick with Panasonic or Samsung for plasma.

For LCD stick with Sony, Samsung, Sharp.
