Gaming pc or 47'' 3d led tv with xbox 360?

Q. i have a ps3 already, but i could also get an amazing gaming pc

Answer
Go with the PC, because the Xbox is just an equivalent to the PS3. The PC will be good for games like Battlefield 3 and Arma 3 when they come out.

What should I consider when buying a TV for PC gaming?

Q. This is for my new man-cave. Make it count!

I know it has to be 1080p and probably LED .. but other than that what features should I look for?

Answer
Size. Sounds obvious but it's slightly different than picking a size for normal tv. The text on PCs is quite small so you will want a bigger tv. I know you can change the text size on the computer, but that makes things cramped. I have a gaming PC connected to a 50 inch TV sitting 2.5 metres away and I have to lean forward and strain my eyes to read text at 150% DPI. Depending on the size of your man cave, I'd recommend at least 60 inches.
Another thing is the frame rate (Measured in Hertz for TVs). Most TVs don't go higher than 60Hz because films are usually at 23fps with the occasional film at 60fps. TV is also broadcasted at 23fps. PCs on the other hand go as high as the GPU allows. Most PC screens will go at at least 100Hz. Games usually run at 60fps and many can get up to 120fps on high end PCs. So your TV should really be at least 100Hz.
Also, not really a problem now, but you should make sure the TV has the right plugs. Almost all TVs will have around 4 HDMI jacks, a VGA jack, and a Component jack. Sometimes DVI as well. Chances are your PC has HDMI but better safe than sorry.

Can i play pc game like call of duty on my samsung 24" 1080p led tv?

Tuhin

I hav laptop, but i dont want to play game through my lappy, coz my fnd say laptops processor are not for gameing, processor can be distory

Answer
Of course you can play (if you have old laptop, it won't fit any new TV connection), if you have HDTV or something to plug in on TV.

Depends on the game and laptop Specs.

It doesn't need very much specs of about videos (on PC) to watch on TV.

Of course, you will see the Desktop on TV first.

my LED tv flickers on some scenes usually when playing pc games and watching some videos on my pc. It seems to happen on scenes which have a lot of contrast or alternating dark and bright parts of the picture! Does anyone know why is this and how to fix it?

Answer
That is a common issue with LEd tvs when going from bright to dark backgrounds, its a pop in.The contrast and actually the Tv should be calibrated to reduce action judders brightness pops etc.Go on AVS forums and see what Im talking about.I had horrendous issues on white backgrounds and halo, flashlighting etc,I have since gotten a plasma but LEDs for the most part have alot of issues with the way they display certain source content and most can be adjusted or calibrated out,and youll have a better picture also.if you cant afford a pro,use a cal disc like disneys wow or avia home theater, even THX discs have calibration tools built in.There a limitations to every technology and all need a bit of help to produce the best pic possible.

Can i improve my crysis pc game frame rate when connected to my led tv?

speedyalla

actually my crysis game runs at only 24 fps when i play from my laptop at max settings and there is absolutely no problem with key response when i play at max settings but only the reduced frame rate.and when i connect to my old lcd tv the frame rate is still the same and no problem.but now when i came to know all about the motion interpolation feature that the led tvs have,i became happy.i use this automotion plus feature to watch my blurays.it is extremely smooth.so if i connect my laptop to the tv and and play the crysis game which is only running at 23fps and if i turn on the automotion plus feature, then i would surely be able to play the game at improved fps rite?
as far as i know, there are only certain times when some flaws appear in the picture due to interpolation, but thats not a problem,i can live with that

Answer
Motion interpolation isn't recommended for gaming. It does not actually increase your framerate, it only makes it seem like it by blending the frames together. This also increases input delay considerably, which is definitely not ideal for gaming.
It's better for movies because you're not actually "playing" the movie like a game - no form of input is needed.

If not, I would have no place to put one and would end up getting a gaming laptop.

Answer
If your tv has a hdmi, d-sub/vga, dvi, or s-video connector then yes. It would be better to buy a monitor though because monitors have a higher pixel density than tvs, can display images in higher quality, and some say its even better on your eyes. You could find them pretty cheap. I got a 21.5in lcd monitor with led backlight and it can also display true 1080p in 1920x1080 resolution all for about $100 on newegg.

What is the best monitor for a gaming computer?

James

I just built my own gaming computer, and I was wondering what is the best monitor for it. My computer has a good graphics card so I want a monitor that is 1080p. At the moment I am using a 1080p tv, until I can find a good enough monitor. If possible I would also like it to be around $100. Please also provide a link to where I can get it. Thanks!

Answer
Haha same here! here's a good 1080p LED (not LCD better!) Monitor with free shipping from www.newegg.com which is where all the custom built PC enthusiast get there extra parts from...
