I just bought a new 55 inch lg 55 lw5600?

It's amazing. Everything works great except...I put a regular non blu ray dvd in. It seems to be really jumpy when there is any kind of fast motion. What could be causing this? It's not smooth at all. I'm assuming it's a setting on the television itself

LCD or LED TVs are not capable of showing fast moving smooth. It would be better if you had purchased plasma which cost half.

It has got nothing to do with setting. Call techie guy from LG.

How can we help our cat?

We adopted an overweight cat from the spca about 4 days ago. When we first saw her and were able to pet her she was very friendly and loving, liked the attention. On her papers it said that her previous owners had kept her out on the back porch, so she was marked 'anti-social'. Obviously we didn't really think too much about what the paper had said because our exposure to her had led us to believe that she was a very social cat. Our mistake. She is very, very jumpy. She runs off and hides every day, and it takes us hours to find her. We think she'll eventually come out for food, but never does and we always must find her if she needs to eat. She does rub up on our legs every now and then and does meow and show some affection, so she's not wild, just not social. Its getting to be a pain in the butt trying to go and find her multiple times a day, not knowing where she is. Giving her back up at the SPCA or just giving her away is NOT an option. What can we do to socialize her more?
P.S. Shes fixed, and is 6 if that means anything?

She sounds overwhelmed with all the changes. She needs time to adjust, and you can make it easier for her. Confine her to one room for a couple of days with her food and litter, so that you aren't searching for her like that. Let her feel safe and secure in that one safe place, then let her out into the house. Go into the room and just be with her - watch TV, use your laptop, even read out loud to her. Get her used to your presence. It's going to take her some time to adjust - but she will!
