LCD or LED----------------------?

Which is best for a new TV?

Answer
The only advantage of the older LCD sets over "LED" is that they are usually a lot cheaper. Some LCD sets have excellent picture quality, as good or better than many LED sets, as demonstrated in Consumer Reports lab testing. But in general, the "LED" set is preferable because it is less prone to repair issues--it doesn't have the fluorescent lamp that will eventually burn out, or the inverter board that is the source of frequent LCD TV failures.

With all other specifications being equal, I'd opt for the "LED" set for that reason alone, even if it costs a little more.

What is the best led tv?

Answer
I would recommend looking at reviews on Newegg.com or pick up a consumer reports magazine.
