led tv 70 inch price image

Looking to buy a 70-inch 3D Sharp HDTV (LC-70LE735U) but notice they offer one with Faroudja (LC-70LE735UDCDI 3D LED HDTV W/Faroudja) for $600 more.
Does anyone know what that is? Does it make a massive difference or little difference? Is this still an active 3D set? Basically, is it worth it?

Faroudja is a company famous for it's video-processing routines and equipment. In the early days of HDTV - the Faroudja equipped televisions did an outstanding job of up-converting 480 to HD.
This was well worth it in the days when there were only a few HD stations so a lot of your TV watching and DVD watching was just standard def.
Now - what is the Faroudja circuits doing in that television? Is it doing the 3D processing and do you plan on doing a LOT of 3D movies? If so - then it might be worth it.
But if the Faroudja chip is only for 3D and you may watch 1-2 movies per month in 3D, then I would get the non-Faroudja model.
Note: I have done a few Google searches and I cannot find any details on what the circuit is doing. Sorry.

Not sure what TV to buy,Sharp 70 inch 120hz or sharp 70 inch 240hz?

Alright not sure what TV would be better the Sharp 70inch Aquis LED smartTV (120hz) LC70LE640U for $2,500 or the Sharp 70inch Quos Quattron LED smart 3D (240hz) TV-LC70LE847U for $2,945.
or if anybody has any suggestions to a better TV.

Don't waste your money on a bargain price tv. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs, along with the pro and con of each technology. You will notice that Panasonic has more Plasma tv being recommended than any type of tv from other manufacturer. You are not going to see any Sharp tv being recommend. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for.
