best led tv for sports image

I am looking at a VIZIO 32 inch LED TV that is 60hz and 720p. If the TV is mainly used for watching tv shows, sports and DVD's, with the Hz and 720p be sufficient?? I know for larger tv's 120Hz and 1080p is the way to go.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I am basically looking for a TV around 250 bucks and 32 inches.

The resolution difference at 32" screen size is insignificant. As to the frequency, 120 would be smoother for sports, but it may not be worth paying extra for taht to you.

An LCD screen works the same as an LED screen and, after I explain how they work, I'll explain the difference.
An LCD screen is made up of an array of liquid crystals, which are crystals of silicon that twist a certain amount depending on how much voltage you apply to them. These are then arranged such that the twisting of adjacent crystals forms a prism. Behind the screen is a white light and, since white light is made up of all the colors of the rainbow, the amount of twisting forms a certain color to appear. These are the pixels and the color of each pixel is determined by the signal applied.
An LCD TV has a back light behind the screen that is made of a high-intensity bulb (like a projector bulb) and a diffuser to distribute a fairly even amount of light across the entire screen. But, an LED TV uses an array of bright white LEDs across the entire back of the LCD screen as the back light. This makes for a much brighter and evenly distributed back light, resulting in a brighter and more consistent picture on all parts of the screen.
An LED TV also doesn't need all the room inside it to diffuse the back light. So, it can be much thinner and lighter than an LED TV, and the LEDs use a lot less power.
Generally speaking, a faster video refresh rate is better than a slower one. That's especially true for fast motion video, like a sporting event or a video game. But, there comes a point where your eyes can't resolve the difference between a faster refresh rate and a slower one. And, while you would probably see a significant difference between 120 Hz and 60 Hz, anything greater than 120 Hz is probably overkill.
