16:9 or 4:3? I'm looking to replace my seemingly dieing tv with an even better one but know nothing about TV's, am looking for a 32 inch lcd hd tv with as much to offer as possible and need to know about aspect ration and which to choose.

I don't think they even MAKE LCD HD TVs in the old "Academy ratio" of 4:3. So that part's mooted. You definitely want 16:9. What you need to decide is LED, LCD or what, and how to get the best features for the money you're willing to spend.
Check the source the other guy listed, and use Consumer Reports or a similar buyer's guide -- your library may have it, or buy your own at your local bookstore.
Good luck! Getting new Major Appliances is exciting, and a little scary, but just do your research and you'll be fine.

I mean LED TV's are very wide i want square type like CRT TV.

Ask for a TV with aspect ratio 4:3.
Widescreen TVs have 16:9 ratio.
But it's very hard to find 4:3 TVs these days.
