I have a 32 inch flatscreen TV in my bedroom. A couple of months ago, I bought myself a sound bar with a wireless subwoofer and I have been wanting a new TV now. I saw that Target will be selling a 50 inch LED flatscreen TV for $229 and I am tempted to buy it. Do you think upgrading from a 32 inch to a 50 inch would be worth it?

Answer
Keep in mind that even if you put aside the fact that the $229 50" set is a toss-away, you also need to keep in mind that when you get a set home - the picture is MUCH BIGGER IN PERSON than it was in the store. Unless you have a huge bedroom, it's going to be massive overkill when you get it installed.

Does the 720p or 60hz matter on a 32 inch TV?

I am looking at a VIZIO 32 inch LED TV that is 60hz and 720p. If the TV is mainly used for watching tv shows, sports and DVD's, with the Hz and 720p be sufficient?? I know for larger tv's 120Hz and 1080p is the way to go.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I am basically looking for a TV around 250 bucks and 32 inches.

Answer
The resolution difference at 32" screen size is insignificant. As to the frequency, 120 would be smoother for sports, but it may not be worth paying extra for taht to you.
