Should I even bother getting a LED HDTV? I hate the soap opera effect.?

right now i have an enhanced definition 42 inch panasonic plasma tv. Its pretty old now I got it when they first started making flat screens. Now i was thinking about upgrading to like a 52 inch LED tv but i watched a movie last night at a friends house and i just hated how it made everything look like BBC or some lame soap opera.

Can you fix this? or tell me of a brand of tv that doesnt do this. I was thinking Sony Bravia but I dont know.

Answer
LED ( LCD-LED BACK LIGHT ) is REFINE from LCD TV. those LCD unable to performs , LED TV " display it " better . LED TV * ref to quality brand * is very close to Plasma quality. normal EYE will not get the difference between Plasma-LED TV.however the " GAP " is still there. if you use to Plasma smooth pictures. you may not really accept the LED TV or you may take sometimes to accepted it !
May be new Panasonic 2010 NEO PLASMA TECHNOLOGY PLASMA TV still GREAT to you !
for BIG screen , Panasonic Plasma still BEST !
option is paid more for Sharp " QUATTRON " RGB + Y Technology LED TV, is really EXCELLENCE ! the best LED TV as this moment !
