Answer
My list would be

1. Mohammed Aly Pasha the Great (El Kebir), founder of Modern Egypt

2. Khedive Ismail, modernized Cairo and helped develop Egypt as a modern nation, and he was NOT the immoral, greedy womanizer shown in movies and TV, that is propoganda.

3. Saad Zaghloul, led the independence movement from the British.

4. King Farouk I, his reign was a turning point in the history of modern Egypt, for better or for worse, depends how you look at it, but it was a milestone nonetheless.

5. Anwar el Sadat, navigated Egypt through the Cold War era, and basically 'established' how Egypt 'works' today, if you understand what I mean.

6. Oum Kalthoum, she was the greatest Egyptian and Arab singer of all time, no doubt about it.

7. Abdel-Halim Hafez, he was also a very great singer, as well as actor. He is the measure of all other singers.

8. Ahmed Zewail, Egyptian chemist who won the Nobel Prize. He really made Egypt proud.

9. Farouk el Baz, Egyptian scientist with Nasa, another great Egyptian achiever.

10. Zahi Hawass, Egyptologist and archeologist, very good man, makes Egypt proud always.

(That's politics, art, and science, I would have included sports, but you only gave us ten, if not I would have added 11. Hassan Shehata, coach of the national team, for leading Egypt from victory to victory)

Cheers.

Atheists : Even you agree that Psalms is the best part of the bible ?

Some random lines I read on a christian TV channel , and I felt like christianity is a very beautiful religion

Answer
For he turned their rivers into blood, so no one could drink from the streams. He sent vast swarms of flies to consume them and hordes of frogs to ruin them. He gave their crops to caterpillars; their harvest was consumed by locusts. He destroyed their grapevines with hail and shattered their sycamores with sleet. He abandoned their cattle to the hail, their livestock to bolts of lightning. He loosed on them his fierce anger â all his fury, rage, and hostility. He dispatched against them a band of destroying angels. He turned his anger against them; he did not spare the Egyptians' lives but handed them over to the plague. He killed the oldest son in each Egyptian family, the flower of youth throughout the land of Egypt. But he led his own people like a flock of sheep, guiding them safely through the wilderness. He kept them safe so they were not afraid; but the sea closed in upon their enemies. He brought them to the border of his holy land, to this land of hills he had won for them. He drove out the nations before them; he gave them their inheritance by lot. He settled the tribes of Israel into their homes.

Psalms 78:44-55

The anger of God rose against them, and he killed their strongest men; he struck down the finest of Israel's young men. But in spite of this, the people kept on sinning. They refused to believe in his miracles. So he ended their lives in failure and gave them years of terror. When God killed some of them, the rest finally sought him. They repented and turned to God.

Psalms 78:31-34
